How to See a Credit Score for Free Without Using a Credit Card

Although you can get your credit report for free once a year from AnnualCreditReport.com, you usually have to pay see your credit score. However, follow a few simple guidelines and you can see your credit score for free without using a credit card for a trial period. You will need to enter your debit card details, but your account will not be charged.

Apply on line via the TransUnion website (see Resources). Take the 30-day free trial. You get to see your credit score for free from the three credit reporting bureaus, TransUnion, Equifax and Experian, without using a credit card.

Click "See your Credit Scores Now." Type your personal details in the on line application form and check the box to accept the free trial.

Read the terms and conditions carefully and click "I Agree". The next screen requests your credit card details. Instead of entering your credit card information, input your debit card details. Your debit card will not be charged during the 30-day free trial period.

Click "Submit." Review your application for accuracy and click "Continue". Create a log-in name, password and password reminder.

Click "Enter." Follow the instructions to instantly view your credit score for free during the 30-day trial period.
